This Privacy Policy explains how Rootlynk ("we", "our", "us"), the developer of Tricity Shops, collects, uses and protects your information when you use our mobile app and website.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, age, and phone number (verified by OTP) when you sign up. Optionally your email if you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Order information — items you purchase, delivery addresses you save, and payment status. Card/UPI details are processed by Razorpay and never stored by us.
• Photos and media — images you upload for your profile, store listings, or products. These are stored in Firebase Storage and are only accessible to you and authorised staff.
• Content you create — posts, comments, reviews, and messages you choose to share in the app.
• Device & notification token — device model, app version, crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics), and a push notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to send you order updates.
• User identifier — a unique user ID (Firebase UID) linked to your account, used to associate your data securely.

How we use it

• To create and manage your account and process your orders.
• To show you nearby stores and relevant products.
• To send order updates and reply notifications via push and in-app messages.
• To prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
• To improve the app using anonymised analytics.

What we never do

• We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
• We do not store your card, UPI or banking details.
• We do not share your phone number with other shoppers.

Third-party services

We use the following services which have their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting
• Razorpay — payment processing (we never see your full card/UPI details)
• Google Sign-In — optional login on Android and web

Data storage & security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) with role-based security rules, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to you, the store fulfilling your order, and authorised Rootlynk support staff.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile in the app at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and all associated data — see our Delete Account page.

Children

Tricity Shops is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
